The Founder Chairman (1942-2009)Mr. Surendra A. Soni, the founder Chairman of IRM, was an expert in his chosen field of rubber engineering with four and half decades of purposeful experience. He was a genius with a natural flair for design and development. He was a Civil Engineer by qualification and a rubber technologist by profession. He had excellent technical capability, abundant understanding, and an innovative approach to designing and manufacturing any type of Rubber Engineering products for various industries. In addition, he has adequately imparted his knowledge, abilities and capabilities to his successors to follow his growth path. His inspiring leadership and unwavering commitment to the industry have been our organization's foundation.
Mr. Nishith Soni
Managing DirectorA science graduate with more than 30 years of experience in the manufacturing and marketing of rubber engineering products, he joined the company in 1988 as a management trainee and became the head of production. After gaining valuable experience in manufacturing, he focused more on sales and marketing and got promoted to Director (Sales & Marketing) in 1998. As a director, he successfully spearheaded IRM's international marketing efforts while positioning the company as a market leader domestically. His areas of expertise include enterprise resource planning, project coordination and strategic sales management. In addition, he has been carefully groomed by the CMD in all the areas of the company to shoulder the overall responsibility of the company. He was promoted as Joint Managing Director in January 2005 and Managing Director in January 2009.
Mr. Swapnil Soni
Executive DirectorA Polymer Engineer by qualification and technocrat by experience, he has more than 20 years of experience in technical rubber engineering products for marine and offshore applications. He has undergone orientation and intensive training in the company's various departments, with a special thrust in engineering and manufacturing. He has set himself challenging targets for developing and manufacturing many new products for the industry and achieved them with aplomb. Under the operational guidance of the founder Chairman, he has also played a pivotal role in developing the company's state-of-the-art production facility at its present location. Presently, he is responsible for the entire gamut of the manufacturing activities of IRM.
Ms. Trupti Soni
Executive DirectorA post-graduate from the University of London, her forte is finance and accounts, human resource development, communication, and public relations. She started as a management trainee, and by now, she has accumulated more than 25 years of experience in the company's various departments. She was instrumental in formulating the HR policies and administrative procedures during the expansion phase of the company -recruiting, retaining, and retraining the company's talent pool, which is required for the global markets. She had shouldered the responsibilities as a management representative for the ISO initiatives, successfully implemented the standards and procedures and won the ISO 9001 certification in 2001 from Bureau Veritas (UKAS). She was promoted to executive director in 2005 and entrusted an overall responsibility of Quality systems, Finance and Accounts, HR and Administration.
Mr. Sony Thomas
Director (Marketing & Operations)Tech. Degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA in Marketing, he joined IRM as Marketing Manager in early 1997. He has more than 25 years of valuable experience in technical sales and marketing, including project monitoring. In addition, he has established a sound base for the company among all the major ports, EPC companies and consultants. He has been active in implementing ISO 9001 and other customer-oriented programs and initiatives. He got promoted to General Manager (Marketing & Operations) in 2002. He was instrumental in establishing the company's presence in the overseas market, including the appointment of marketing associates/ sales agents worldwide. He is now responsible for all technical and operational matters with clients, consultants, EPC contractors and research institutions. He has exposure to both domestic and international markets and has developed excellent techno-commercial acumen. He got promoted to Director, Marketing & Operations, in 2015.
Mr. Sagar Soni
Director (Productions)A graduate Engineer in IC by qualification and mechanical engineer by experience, he has acquired more than ten years of experience in the field, particularly in marine engineering with a specialization in the Fabrication of marine structures and their maintenance. He has developed an excellent acumen for manufacturing critical offshore installation aids such as Pile Grippers and has successfully supervised their applications at offshore locations. He has been inducted into the board since 2021, and he is spearheading the company's manufacturing activities.
