Floating Fenders

IRM’s Floating Fenders are the leading anti-collision equipment for various marine applications today. The Floating Pneumatic Fender acts as a critical protective medium to prevent collision during Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer operations and Ship-to-Dock (STD) berthing & mooring operations. Floating Fenders also have the advantage of massive energy absorption with low unit surface pressure acting upon the vessel. Hence, Floating Fenders have become an ideal ship protection medium used extensively by large tankers, LPG vessels, ocean platforms, bulk carriers, floating structures, large docks, harbours, jetties & wharves. Floating Fenders must be serviced to extract maximum life and performance while deployed at recommended periodic intervals. In case, easy access to the deployed fenders is complex (offshore applications, remote installations). Ribbed Floating Fenders are offered as a reduced maintenance option.

In the unlikely event of serious damage where onsite repair is needed, IRM’s site crew can be available for repair or maintenance at short notice. Floating Fenders manufactured by IRM are supplied with tools for inflation and basic repairs.
