“DIPTI” DPN series Pneumatic Fenders are manufactured as per ISO 17357: 2002 with 0.5 Kg/Cm2 and 0.8 Kg/Cm internal pressure. The carefully crafted high abrasion resistant external layer prevents atmospheric aging and nylon tyre cord layers ensure high mechanical strength under heavy compression. Internal rubber layers ensure a positive seal to maintain the desired internal pressure. The latest molding technology, a combination of heat, pressure and compression molding and accurate process parameters makes IRM’s pneumatic fenders extremely reliable and ensure a trouble free long life. “DIPTI” DPN series fenders are also used in vertical positions with buoyancy ballast for submarine applications.
The special property of pneumatics fender is its low reaction force at low deflection. This very property of pneumatic fenders makes it most suitable for liquid cargo vessels and naval defense vessels with very sensitive equipments. These fenders offer excellent energy absorption characteristic and do have a linear load deflection characteristic. They are very easy to install, remove and handle for various applications.
Variations :
I.CTN Type
Pneumatic Fenders are usually supplied with a protective Chain & Tyre Net (CTN) fitted around the body giving extra protection to the body of the fender. The CTN is assembled out of galvanised chains and shackles covered at the joints with used truck tyres (or aircraft tyres on request) and along the length of the chain with rubber tubes. Anti-scratch matting can also be supplied inside the tyre centers for added protection if specified. On smaller diameter fenders a chain net or rope net can also be installed.
II. Sling Type
Pneumatic Fenders that are supplied without a factory fitted CTN are referred to as a sling type, this fender has modified end fittings to allow the fender to be lifted and installed efficiently.
III. RIB Type
If a low-maintenance options is specified the fender body can be manufactured with reinforced rubber ribs crossing the body in a grid format. This provides extra protection for the fender body but does not suffer the wear and tear of conventional CTN protection.
IV. Fender body color
Generally fenders are manufactured in black, however various color options are available on request |
